About

The class is a relaxed and friendly place to explore new topics and techniques in the endlessly fascinating medium of watercolour.
We meet each Thursday during term time, 1.30-4.30 pm in the Shiplake Church Room, on the road between Reading and Henley. It is easily accessed from Twyford, Maidenhead, as well as Henley, Caversham and Reading. There is plenty of parking.

Each session starts with a demo, tips and discussion of the topic or technique. Students are encouraged to bring their own ideas and reference material. Liz will support and help during the afternoon. We wrap up by looking at each other's work, as we learn so much from how everyone approaches a subject. Of course, a break for tea and coffee is in order. Everyone helps with the tidy up at the end.

Each session is £12 if booked for the month in advance (we might do this by every half term after Christmas). Drop in places are £14 each, but subject to space being available. Priority will be given to those who attend regularly. A waiting list is in operation, if the classes are full. Extra classes will start, if there is demand, so even if Thursday doesn't suit, please get in touch. One off workshops are planned for the future too.

Most people have been painting for a while, but beginners are welcome and an individual programme will be put together to introduce you to the basics.
